About this Gig
Your Linux server's broken, exposed, or both I'll fix it and lock it down.
I run my own security lab day-to-day across multiple machines, built and hardened from scratch. I bring that same hands-on rigor to your server instead of just patching the symptom and walking away.
What's included:
- Troubleshooting SSH/access issues, broken services, DNS and networking misconfigurations, package/dependency conflicts, boot and config problems
- Hardening SSH key-based auth, firewall rules (ufw/nftables/iptables), fail2ban, closing unused ports and disabling unnecessary services
- Vulnerability scanning a pass over your server's external attack surface (open ports, exposed services, common misconfigs), delivered as a plain-English report with what to fix first
Works with Arch, Debian, Ubuntu, and most major distros.
Note: vulnerability scans and any security testing only run on systems you own or have explicit written authorization to test. I'll confirm this with you before starting.
FAQ
Do you need root/sudo access?
Yes — for troubleshooting and hardening I'll need SSH access with sudo privileges. A temporary account you can revoke afterward works fine.
Which distros do you support?
Arch, Debian, Ubuntu, and most major Linux distributions. Let me know your setup before ordering if you're unsure.
Will you scan or test my system without permission?
No. Vulnerability scans and any security testing only run on systems you own or have explicit written authorization to test.
What if my issue needs more time than the package covers?
I'll flag it early and we agree on scope before I go over — no surprise work or fees.
Do you offer ongoing/monthly support?
Not as a set package yet — message me and we can work something out.
