Can I upload this to Amazon KDP?
No. This is for industry-standard formatting within MS Word in a style suitable for submitting to publishers and agents. It's also great as a pre-cleanup for the layout process. But the file will not be suitable for publishing; if you need that type of formatting, message about my other services.
Will you change my writing?
No. I won't add, delete, or reword a single sentence. The only thing I touch is formatting.
Will my italics and other emphasis be preserved?
Yes. I run a verification pass between your original and the formatted version to make sure every italicized word survives. If anything got lost during the formatting step, I restore it before delivery.
Can you handle a manuscript that's been edited a hundred times and is a mess?
Yes — that's actually the most common case. Mixed fonts, leftover tabs, weird indents, a page that's somehow a different paper size: all of it gets cleaned up.
Do you do print or ebook formatting?
Not in this gig. This service is for the version you send to agents, publishers, contests, and literary magazines. If you're prepping for self-publishing, what I deliver here is a clean foundation you can hand to a designer next.
Do I need to know anything about Word?
No. You just send me the file.
What if a specific agent has different formatting requirements?
Send me their submission page along with your manuscript and I'll create a custom offer.
What format do you deliver in?
Microsoft Word (.docx). Compatible with Word on Mac and Windows. You'll also get a PDF version.
