About this Gig
If you've ever wanted to take up the mantle of the Dungeons & Dragons DM, but you're too afraid of bombing your first-ever session for a party of people whose opinions matter to you, this is the service for you!
I know what it's like to muddle through the early stages of DMing. I've been there. Thing is, I've also put in the work to come out the other side and find a career as a professional Dungeon Master. Through hundreds of sessions and thousands of hours of practice, I like to think I've got this thing pretty well down, and I'd love to share some of the resulting insights with you.
With that in mind, I invite you to run two hours of a solo adventure for me. Once that's done, I'll review the session with you and help you recognize your strengths and weaknesses, allowing you to grow with honest feedback and zero suspicion that "Oh God everybody hates it but they're just too nice to say anything."
FAQ
What am I expected to run? Do I need to buy a module?
My go-to for this exercise is D&D Duet's "First Blush," a DM's Guild bestseller. No need for you to buy anything, as I have the module already imported to Roll20. That said, I'd happily try another module or some of your own homebrew material as well. Whatever fits your DMing ambitions!
How much prep do I need to do before our session?
Whatever reading it takes for you to familiarize yourself with the content. Know the characters you'll be portraying, and the situations they'll be in. If we're using "First Blush," the module is already imported to Roll20, so this is more about getting your head right than anything else.
