About this Gig
Have you finished your novel but still wonder how a real reader will experience it?
I will beta read your romantasy, fantasy romance, or cozy mystery novel and give you honest, constructive feedback from a genuine readers perspective.
I'll look at the parts that can make readers keep turning pages or lose interest:
- Pacing, story flow & reader engagement
- Character development, chemistry & emotional stakes
- Romance, relationships & character arcs
- Fantasy worldbuilding, clarity & continuity
- Mystery clues, suspects, suspense & plot consistency
- Dialogue, character voice & confusing scenes
- Repetition, slow sections & plot holes
- Ending, emotional impact & overall reader satisfaction
What you'll receive:
- Honest first-reader reactions
- Chapter-by-chapter feedback
- Inline comments where useful
- Strengths and areas that need attention
- Specific, actionable revision suggestions
- A final beta reader report
I won't rewrite your story or change your voice. My goal is to show you what happens when someone reads your manuscript without knowing what you intended.

FAQ
What file formats do you accept?
Microsoft Word (.docx) is preferred so I can add inline comments directly to your manuscript. I also accept viewable Google Docs links.
Do you read explicit content, dark romance tropes, or heavy spice?
Yes! I specialize in Romantasy and Dark Romance, so explicit romance scenes, dark themes, and high spice levels are completely fine. Please include any trigger warnings in your initial order requirements.
Is this a proofreading or line editing service?
No. Beta reading focuses on story-level feedback such as plot pacing, character chemistry, worldbuilding, and reader engagement. I won't rewrite your prose or fix overall grammar unless you add proofreading as an extra service.
How does the Cozy Mystery theory tracker work?
If you submit a cozy mystery, I will document my live reader thoughts, theories, suspect guesses, and clue reactions chapter-by-chapter as I read. This helps you see whether your plot twists feel earned or too predictable.
What if my manuscript is over 80,000 words?
I happily read full-length novels! Simply send me a message with your total word count and genre, and I will issue a custom offer tailored to your exact manuscript length and timeline.
