What do I get with your beta reading service?
You will receive a detailed Reader Report covering plot, pacing, and character arcs. For Standard and Premium packages, I also provide inline comments directly on your manuscript, highlighting my real-time reactions as a beta reader.
Do you handle "dark" or explicit content in Dark Romance?
Yes! As a specialized dark romance beta reader, I am comfortable with mature themes, triggers, and high-tension tropes. I provide honest feedback on the chemistry, "heat" levels, and emotional impact of your story.
Can you beta read high-fantasy or hard sci-fi world-building?
Absolutely. As a fantasy and sci-fi beta reader, I look specifically for "info-dumping," internal logic, and immersive world-building. I’ll ensure your magic systems or futuristic tech feel grounded and consistent.
What file formats do you accept for manuscripts?
I prefer Microsoft Word (.docx) or Google Docs so that I can provide the most effective inline comments. However, I can also work with PDFs or EPUBs if you only require the summary Reader Report.
Is my story and intellectual property safe with you?
Your work is 100% confidential. As a professional beta reader, I respect the privacy of every author. I never share or distribute your manuscript, and I am happy to sign an NDA if required.
Do you offer a sample read of the first chapter?
Yes! If you have a full-length fantasy, sci-fi, or dark romance novel, feel free to message me. I can provide a custom offer for a "sample read" of your first 2,000 words to ensure our styles align.
How is this different from professional editing?
Beta reading focuses on the reader's experience, plot holes, and genre tropes. While I may point out glaring typos, my goal is to tell you how a fan of fantasy or romance will react to your story, rather than fixing every comma.
Do you use AI?
No, I don't use AI to generate any of my response because giving feedback and critique for a romance or fantasy novel requires someone to feel and understand the indepth of the novel which an AI cannot be able to feel.
