I am a fluent Irish speaker who grew up very near to the Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking region). I hold a first class honours degree in Nua-Ghaeilge (Modern Irish) from Maynooth University and won first prize at the Irish department's Oíche Litríochta na Mac Léinn in 2025.
