What type of Server/VPS is required for Postal + Mautic?
For Postal SMTP Server: A Dedicated Server (DS) or Virtual Private Server (VPS) with a minimum of 1 CPU and 2GB RAM. For Mautic System: A Virtual Private Server(VPS) / Dedicated Server(DS) / Shared Hosting Server or any virtual machine with a minimum of 1 CPU and 1GB RAM.
Which Operating System Required for Server/VPS?
I need a 64bit Ubuntu 18.04(or above), Linux-based operating system.
Should VPS Server open for Port 25?
Yes. The standard port for the SMTP service is port 25. So when you get a VPS/DS server to install Postal SMTP, just make sure that the server company allows Port 25 and never blocks it, because some server companies do this to protect from spammers. For Mautic, port 25 opened is not necessary.
Do we need Additional dedicated IPs ?
It depends on your requirement if you buy more dedicated IPs from your VPS/DS provider, it will cost you high then. The Additional IPs will help you to keep away from being blacklisted easily. More IPs will save you more and create a good reputation to deliver your emails. This is for Postal only.
