One thing about me: becoming a professional book editor was never part of the plan. Like, never ever.

I started as a freelance editor almost as a secret because I didn't have the courage to say out loud that this was my career. So I just quietly did the work. I took courses and studied craft books obsessively. I dissected successful stories to understand what made them work at a structural level.
