What details do you need to begin designing my book cover?
To get started, I need the book's title, subtitle (if applicable), author's name, cover dimensions (e.g., 6x9 inches or 5x8 inches), exact number of pages, text for the back cover, a brief description of the book’s story or content, and some examples of book covers you like in terms of style.
I'm still working on formatting my book, so I don't have the final page count yet. Can I still place an order?
Yes, you can still place an order. While the page count is important for determining the spine size, it's perfectly fine if you don't have the exact number yet. We can start the design process, and then adjust the cover dimensions once your book is fully formatted.
What dimensions should I choose for my book cover?
The dimensions for your book cover depend on your publishing method. E-books and print books have various size options. It's best to consult with your publishing platform or printing house to determine the most suitable dimensions.
Do you offer custom illustrations as part of this gig ?
I don't offer fully custom illustrations. Instead, I work with licensed vector art and stock photos, which I carefully edit to create a unique design that fits your book cover's concept. but please discuss your needs so that if a custom illustration is needed then we move forward accordingly.
Can you update or redesign my existing book cover?
Yes, I can redesign your existing cover. Depending on the project, I can either refine your current design or create a new one from scratch. Please reach out before placing an order so I can ensure it’s a project I can handle effectively.
Do you use AI to create the art for your book covers?
It depends on the project and the style you're looking for. I have experience with both AI-generated art and traditional custom illustration. If you have any preferences or concerns about using AI, please let me know before we start.
