this is an example of my writing.

Imagine a village where parents stop letting their children play outside. Doors are bolted

before sunset. Every unfamiliar face becomes suspicious. And whispered warnings spread

from one house to another:

Do not go near the stranger with the stick.

They say he can make a child smell a piece of wood. They say the child becomes

unconsciousor simply follows him without resistance. They say he carries a large bag.

In parts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, this figure was called Lakadsungha.

But here is the unsettling question: was Lakadsungha a real child-snatcher, a gang, a

supernatural beingor a name created by fear itself?

This is not a story about proving that a monster existed. It is a story about what happens

when a rumor becomes powerful enough to change the behavior of entire communities

and possibly put innocent people in danger.

The evidence we have comes from dictionaries, newspaper retrospectives, local memories,

and later internet retellings. Those sources do not all carry the same weight. Some

document the meaning of the word. Some report what police or villagers believed. Others

simply repeat a frightening legend.
