Do I need to send you the original raw footage?
Ideally, yes! Working with original high-quality files (like LOG or RAW) allows me much more flexibility to push the colors without the image "breaking." However, if you only have standard (Rec.709) or exported files, I can still work with them to improve the look significantly.
Can you match clips from two different cameras?
Absolutely. This is a common part of my Standard and Premium packages. I will match the colors, contrast, and "feel" of different cameras (for example, a Sony and an iPhone) so the final video looks like it was shot on a single setup.
Can you change the color of a specific object (like a car or a shirt)?
Yes, I can perform "secondary" color grading. This involves masking or "qualifying" a specific color to change it without affecting the rest of the image. Please mention this when you message me so I can ensure it's included in your custom quote.
What if I don’t know what "look" I want?
Don’t worry! That is very common. You can simply tell me the mood of your video (e.g., "sunny and happy" or "dark and mysterious") or send me a link to a YouTube video you like. I can also provide a few different "test frames" for you to choose from before I grade the whole project.
