Hi! I'm Sam, a college English instructor and published fiction author with a lifelong love of reading and storytelling. I have taught writing for six years and published two novels.

I specialize in thoughtful, constructive feedback for horror, mystery, thriller, and literary fiction writers. As both an instructor and author myself, writing is in my very bones. I know what makes a story compelling and what can help a writer strengthen their work.

I offer help with beta reading, manuscript critiques, proofreading, and general feedback on fiction and creative writing. I'll tell you what's working, where I became confused or disengaged, which characters or moments stood out, and what I think could make the manuscript stronger in a detailed and thoughtful reader report.

I particularly enjoy horror, literary fiction, fantasy, science fiction, thrillers, and speculative fiction, but I'm happy to consider other genres as well.
