FAQ
What do you need from me to get started?
To begin, I will need access to your Domain Registrar (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare) and the name of your Email Service Provider (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365). If you prefer not to share logins, I can provide the exact records for you to paste yourself!
Will this fix my emails going to the spam folder?
Yes! Most "spam" issues are caused by missing or incorrect authentication records. By properly configuring SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, we prove to Google, Yahoo, and Outlook that you are a legitimate sender, which significantly boosts your "Inbox" delivery rate.
I use Mailchimp/HubSpot/Klaviyo. Do I still need this?
Absolutely. Any third-party platform that sends emails on your behalf must be authorized via your SPF and DKIM records. If not, those marketing emails are almost guaranteed to be flagged as "unauthorized" or spam.
Is DMARC dangerous? Can it block my own emails?
If set up incorrectly (p=reject), yes. That is why I am here! I start by setting a "p=none" policy to monitor your traffic safely, ensuring all your legitimate services are authenticated before we move to a stricter, more secure enforcement level.
How long does it take for the changes to work?
While I usually complete the setup within 24 hours, DNS propagation can take anywhere from 1 to 48 hours to reflect globally across all email servers. You will usually see improvements in deliverability shortly after.
