I will design fire alarm system with riser diagram, voltage drop and battery backup
About this Gig
Your fire alarm system isn't just about placing detectors on a floor plan it needs a complete engineered package that passes AHJ review without a single revision cycle.
I design end-to-end fire alarm systems including riser diagrams with pipe routing, full voltage drop calculations across every notification appliance circuit, and battery standby/backup AH sizing to meet NFPA 72 and local code requirements.
What you get:
- Riser diagram showing panel, zones, conduit routing and device loop
- Voltage drop calculation for each NAC circuit (24VDC / 120VAC)
- Battery AH calculation for 24-hr standby + 5-min alarm load
- Device schedule and quantity takeoff
- Code reference notes for AHJ submittal
I work from your floor plans, device specs, and panel data sheets. I've run these calculations for commercial buildings, warehouses, schools and multi-tenant residential I know where the numbers fail and how to fix them before submission.
Send me your plans. I'll deliver a clean, stamped-ready calculation package that your inspector expects.
Message me before ordering, so that we can discuss about your project requirement.

FAQ
What do you need from me to start the calculations?
Send me your floor plan (PDF/DWG), the fire alarm panel data sheet (NAC output current, battery terminals), and your device spec sheets (horn/strobe current draw). If you don't have the panel selected yet, tell me the building size and occupancy type.
Will these calculations pass AHJ review?
Yes. Every voltage drop calc is done per NFPA 72 Section 7.2.1, using actual wire resistance values from NEC Table 9, device currents from manufacturer specs, and end-of-line methodology. Battery sizing covers 24-hour standby + 5-minute full alarm load as required.
My project has multiple floors and panels, can you handle it?
Yes, that's covered under the Premium package. I'll calculate voltage drop per NAC circuit on each panel, size batteries independently per panel load, and draw a multi-floor riser showing all loops, zones, and conduit routing. For projects beyond 20,000 sq ft or with network panels.
What file formats do you deliver?
Riser diagrams are delivered in AutoCAD DWG + PDF. Voltage drop and battery calculations are delivered as a formatted Excel workbook (editable, with all inputs visible so your engineer or inspector can verify every value) and a clean PDF for submittal. No locked files, no black-box spreadsheets.
What if the AHJ sends back a comment on the calculations?
Standard includes 1 revision, Premium includes 2 revisions, which covers the vast majority of AHJ comment cycles. If the comment requires additional circuits, device changes, or a scope increase beyond the original order, I'll quote the delta fairly. I've handled AHJ comments on NAC loading.
