You have an idea for a business.
You're not ready to splash out on a full business plan because you're not even sure if the idea is a good one. But you've been thinking about your idea for a long time and you need a professional opinion.
If this sounds like you, then this gig is the perfect solution.
Via a Zoom call, we meet, talk, and I will ask you a million questions about your business idea. (Okay, maybe only a thousand). You may not have answers to them all, which is fine, because my job is to help you discover both what you know and what you don't know. I will give you my feedback and together we will discuss ways your business idea and/or business model can be adjusted. (If you don't know the difference between business idea and business model, we will discuss that too).
As a former professor of Entrepreneurship, I tend to slide into teacher mode, and a whole lot of learning is jammed into our consultation. After the Zoom call, I will prepare a summary of our discussion.
If, after our consultation, you decide to proceed with my Business Plan gig, I will deduct the price of the Consultation from the Business Plan job.

How far long on my business idea must I be for this to be useful?
What makes this gig so perfect is that it provides value at any point in your entrepreneurship journey. It allows you to see your idea from new angles and forces you to answer questions that you may have not even considered. This gig is a perfect way to decide if your idea is worth taking forward.
Do I need to prepare for the Zoom call?
No preparation is required. I will be leading the conversation and asking a lot of questions. The value of the call will come from our interaction.
How long is the Zoom call?
This varies, but generally it is over an hour and sometimes even longer. I do not place a limit on it, as I prefer to let the conversation naturally flow and go where it needs to go.
What if I decide to go forward with my idea?
Your next step would be a full Business Plan, which I would be happy to do for you. Given that I will already be fully briefed on your idea, I will deduct your Consultation fee from the Business Plan gig fee.
