I will make your PDF accessible for screen readers, wcag 2 1 aa, PDF ua, section 508
Saoirse Software, accessible PDFs and custom apps
About this Gig
Need your documents to meet ADA Title II, Section 508 or the European Accessibility Act? I fix them to the standards those laws point to, and I send you the proof.
The standards: WCAG 2.1 AA and ISO 14289-1. Every file is checked three ways:
- veraPDF, the free official PDF/UA validator
- NVDA screen reader: your report lists, in order, everything it announces
- Each page side by side with its tag structure
Plus WCAG 2.1 AA color contrast, measured on the real page.
What makes this different: many sellers say they test. We show it: the report is the proof.
What I fix: tags, reading order, headings, lists, tables, form fields, links, image descriptions, title, language and contrast. Languages: English, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
Who we are: Saoirse Software, a software company in Dublin, Ireland (EU).
How it works:
- Send your file before ordering. I reply with the page count and the right package.
- I fix it and run the tests.
- You get the fixed file and the report. Found a problem? I fix it.
Honest note: this is not a legal certification, and no tool can promise 100%. Every file is processed with AI: it describes the images and checks the layout.

FAQ
Which standards do you follow?
WCAG 2.1 AA and PDF/UA-1 (ISO 14289-1), the standards that Section 508, ADA Title II and the European Accessibility Act point to for PDFs.
What is in the report?
What was fixed, every test and its result, the heading outline, the reading order and each image description. The report is an accessible PDF too.
Will my PDF be legally compliant?
We test against the standards and show you the results. We do not issue legal certifications, and no honest seller can promise 100%.
Can you do tables, forms or scanned PDFs?
Tables, yes: every cell is tagged with its row, column and headers, and we check that the screen reader reads each cell in the right row and column. Forms and scanned PDFs: send the file first and I will tell you within a few hours.
What if I find a problem after delivery?
Tell me and I fix it.
Which languages do you support?
English, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese. We set the document language so screen readers pick the right voice, and we test the reading order of every file.
Can you do newsletters and magazines with columns?
Yes. Text is read column by column, and each text box, testimonial bubble or ad is read whole, in the order the page shows it. Every page is checked with NVDA. Send the file first and I will confirm.
