About this Gig
As a professional editor and former English teacher, I have years of practice editing, proofreading, and critiquing writing. I will polish your writing until it shines!
Types of documents include but are not limited to cover letters, blogs, dissertations, manuscripts, website content, owner's manuals, ebooks, children's books, articles, etc.
Please note that I have a separate service for résumés, which should not be submitted here.
My services include:

Please note that I do not offer rewriting services.

Do you ever outsource your work?
Never. All editing and proofreading are strictly my own work.
Do you use programs such as Grammarly?
As a professional editor, I edit and proofread each document myself. Afterward, I run the document through spell check and then Grammarly to check for any spacing issues. Although Grammarly can be helpful, it, like many such programs, cannot determine content; thus, it is not always reliable.
Can you ensure that my reference section is correctly formatted?
Due to the complex nature of referencing, this is a service I do not offer. I will, however, fix obvious spelling, spacing, and other typographic errors,
What is the difference between proofreading and editing?
Proofreading refers to the last round of checking; it involves fixing errors such as those related to spelling, punctuation, capitalization, grammar, etc. Editing, which is also included in my services, is a more in-depth task and may include improving sentence structure or language usage.
Can I submit a document as a PDF?
Yes; however, some PDFs with heavy graphics may appear a bit wonky once they have been converted to Word.
Can you work on documents that have more than 6,000 words?
Absolutely! Please contact me and provide the number of words in your document, and I will be happy to provide you with a custom offer.
