FAQ
Do you accept manuscripts that are longer than the 50,000 words listed in your packages?
Absolutely! I regularly work with full length novels. If your book exceeds the package limit, simply enter your exact word count in the "Additional Words" box when purchasing, or send me a direct message. I will gladly send you a custom offer tailored to your exact manuscript length.
Can you handle explicit content, dark romance, or highly specific YA fantasy tropes?
Yes, I specialize heavily in these genres. Whether it is balancing the magical rules of YA fantasy world building or critiquing the emotional chemistry and tension in a romance beta reader capacity, I am completely comfortable with all romance tropes, heat levels, and dark themes.
What exactly will I receive in my reader report?
Your comprehensive reader report will give you direct, actionable feedback. As your beta reader, I break down plot consistency, pacing, character development, dialogue naturalness, and reader engagement. If you choose the premium package, it also includes deep book editor structural suggestions.
Will you look for grammar errors, or just focus on the story elements?
My primary focus as a beta reader and alpha reader is on story structure, pacing, plot holes, and character chemistry. However, because I am also an experienced book editor, I will naturally point out major recurring grammar issues or clunky phrasing using inline comments as I read.
Can I send you a specific list of questions I want you to focus on while reading?
Yes, I highly encourage it! If there are specific characters, plot twists, or romance arcs you are worried about, send them over. Customizing my focus allows me to be the absolute best romance beta reader or fantasy beta reader for your unique project goals.
: Is my manuscript safe and confidential with you?
. Your intellectual property is completely secure. As a professional book editor and reviewer, I maintain absolute confidentiality with every manuscript I receive. Your work will never be shared, copied, or discussed with anyone else.
