My name is Sarah. I'm an ex-nurse who took a BA English Literature followed by a MA in Creative Writing. I read (and have written) in multiple genres over decades, mainly scifi/fantasy and paranormal. I have great attention for detail and always give feedback with the aim to motivate and never discourage.

When Beta Reading I will make in-document comments. I will highlight any grammatical or spelling errors I notice, though a beta read is not a proofread. Instead I will focus on the reader experience of meeting your characters and setting, and the pacing of the plot.

I will also send a reader report with comments grouped into character and dialogue, setting and Worldbuilding, plot and pacing, and then any general comments that I have.

The aim is always for you to write the best version of your story that can be.

If you are on a deadline there are options to expedite the beta read.

If your story needs a warning, please let me know, though not a lot would surprise me after my healthcare career!
