Do I need my own QuickBooks Online subscription?
Yes. You need an active QuickBooks Online subscription. I work inside your account as an Accountant User. If you don't have one yet, I can advise which plan suits your business.
Is bookkeeping the same as tax preparation?
No. Bookkeeping keeps your records accurate and organized year-round. Tax preparation uses those records to file your return. I handle bookkeeping — your CPA or tax preparer handles filing. Clean books mean lower CPA fees.
How do you handle confidentiality of my financial data?
Your financial data is accessed only through QuickBooks Online's secure Accountant User portal. I do not download, store, or share your data outside the platform. Access is fully revocable by you at any time.
How quickly do you respond to messages?
I respond to all messages within 24 hours on business days. For active clients, I respond within a few hours during my working day. Clear, timely communication is a standard I hold myself to on every engagement.
What if my books have errors from a previous bookkeeper?
Existing errors need cleanup before accurate monthly bookkeeping can begin. Message me with a description of the issues. I will review and quote a one-time cleanup fee separately from the monthly package price.
Can you do catch-up bookkeeping if I'm behind?
Yes but it is scoped separately. If your books are behind by one or more months, message me before ordering. I will assess the backlog and quote a catch-up fee before we begin monthly bookkeeping.
