Can't I just export my Lovable code and publish it?
Lovable exports a web app. The App Store and Play Store don't accept web apps, and webview wrappers get rejected under Apple's minimum functionality rules. Converting to React Native gives you a real native app that passes review.
Will my app look the same?
Yes, and even better. Your design, features, and data carry over (unless you want to consider re-designing). Some patterns get adapted to native conventions, i.e, navigation, gestures, keyboard behaviour. Because that's what makes it feel like an app rather than a website in a shell.
Do I need an Apple Developer or Google Play account?
Yes, Apple is $99/year, Google is a one-time $25. Set them up early, since Apple approval can take days. I handle everything after that in the Premium package.
Who owns the code?
You do, completely. Full source in your repositories. You own the IP rights.
