Yes. Updating PHP fixes the vulnerability, but it does not confirm whether an attacker exploited your server before the patch. This service checks logs, files, processes, cron jobs, and other common signs of compromise, then provides a clear report.
What access do you need from me?
For a full check, I usually need WordPress admin access and hosting/cPanel or SSH access. I will tell you exactly what is required before starting, and you should only provide access to a server you own or are authorized to manage.
Can you remove malware or a webshell if you find one?
