No. I never touch application data or configuration. I only change system-level security. Your running services stay exactly as they were.

I locked myself out of SSH once — can that happen here?
I always set up a secondary access method (e.g., WireGuard VPN or server console) before changing SSH config. You'll have a tested fallback.
