I'm Sam, a professional guitar player with 25 years of experience playing, gigging, recording and teaching. With a BA (Hons) in Classical Music Performance from Leeds College of Music, I bring a wealth of knowledge and skill to the table.
My specialties are in Classical, Spanish, and Flamenco styles, but I am also well-versed in a wide range of genres. I am dedicated to providing the highest level of care and attention in everything I do and am excited to bring my expertise to your project. So let's make some beautiful music together!

Hi I'm Sam. I've been playing guitar for 25 years and teaching and gigging for a huge chunk of that too.
I've played all sorts - from solo to orchestra and from classical to folk bands and rock bands and love getting involved in new things.
I studied Classical Music Performance, in which I gained a 1st and the composition award. I also won an award for music production at A-level.

FAQ
Can you play x genre?
Yes! I've done everything many times over, though the ways of the jazz elude my ears. I am perfectly happy playing jazz, but I'm not great at working out the chords, so please provide them for the best outcome!
How do you handle revisions or changes to a project?
Each of my packages includes revisions to address any errors on my part. However, should you change the composition of the piece or otherwise decide against our agreed upon brief in a way that causes me to rerecord, an additional fee will be charged.
Will you write, as well as record, a guitar part for my track?
Speak to me about this, it's can be a tricky question! If you give me chords and a style, that's not a problem at all, but creating an entire tune would probably be more suited to my premium package. Either way, let's discuss it first
What about mic setup etc?
I can record however you want, but my default/recommended method is Line CM4 at the soundhole and Rode NT-1 at the fretboard. I usually bounce these panned right and left respectively for a stereo recording that you can separate if needed. I've no problem with alternatives though - just let me know!

A second collaboration with Sam, and from start to finish it was, again, an absolute pleasure. I had a very specific electric guitar sound in mind, and Sam went out of his way to provide multiple demos so I could pick and choose. He brought the same exceptional musicality, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
