About this Gig
Clear, natural academic English - without losing your own voice.
I'm a Cambridge DELTA-qualified English teacher with 7+ years' experience, and an MA History student in Hanoi, where I research and write in Vietnamese. I work with MA and PhD students, early-career academics, and humanities and social-science researchers - especially those writing in English as an additional language.

- Proofreading - grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency.
- Copyediting - plus clarity, sentence structure, academic register, cohesion, and natural phrasing.

FAQ
What's the difference between proofreading and copyediting?
Proofreading fixes errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation and consistency. Copyediting also improves clarity, flow, academic register and natural phrasing.
Which package do I need?
If you're unsure, message me a 500–1,000-word sample and I'll recommend the right level before you order.
What if my document needs more than the package I ordered?
I check every document before starting. If it needs a higher level of editing, I'll let you know and suggest an upgrade. I won't start until you agree.
What counts as a revision?
I'll review your responses to my edits and answer your questions. Revisions don't cover editing new or rewritten text, which I'll quote separately.
Can you edit longer documents?
Yes. For anything over 3,000 words, please message me before ordering so we can agree a delivery date.
Which referencing styles and varieties of English do you work with?
APA, MHRA, Chicago, Harvard, MLA, or your journal's own guidelines, in British or American English.
Do you use AI tools?
No. Your work stays confidential and is never uploaded to AI tools. All proofreading and editing is done by me.
Will you write or rewrite my essay?
No. I edit and advise on your writing, but your ideas, arguments and conclusions remain your own.
