About this Gig
I replicate published or working-paper empirical results in Stata or R. You get every table and figure rebuilt from raw data, plus a written report on any deviations from the original.
What you get:
- All requested tables and figures, reproduced
- Clean Stata or R repository with one-click run script
- README with software versions, run order and expected runtime
- A short "deviations report" any cells that don't match the published paper, with my best explanation
- Optional: methodology document explaining the empirical strategy in plain English
Best for:
- PhD students writing a replication-based thesis chapter
- Researchers extending a published paper
- Journal referees verifying claimed results
- Reading-group leads who want a working repo
Portfolio example: full replication of Alsan, Eichmeyer & Beach (2023) "Civil Liberties in Times of Crisis" every main table and figure rebuilt in R, repository delivered with reproducible run script. Sample available on request.

What is included in the standard package?
(1) Up to 12 tables/figures; (2) Python, R or Stata code, fully modular; (3) README + reproducible run script; (4) Deviations report; (5) Methodology document (3–5 pages).
What is included in the premium package?
(1) All tables and figures (main body + appendix); (2) Python, R or Stata code, fully modular and tested; (3) README + reproducible run script; (4) Deviations report; (5) Methodology document (5–10 pages); (6) Robustness analysis on one main result.
I don't have the original data — can you still help?
If the data is restricted (e.g. Census RDC), I can replicate using publicly available alternatives, with caveats. Otherwise the buyer must provide data access.
What software versions do you use?
R 4.3+ and Stata 17+ by default. Tell me up front if you need a specific version for compatibility.
Can you replicate non-economics papers?
Yes — political science, finance, public health, sociology and other fields with quantitative empirical methods. Message me with the paper to confirm methods are in my wheelhouse before ordering.
Will my replication stay private?
Yes. I never share client files or post results without explicit permission.
My paper has 30+ tables. Possible?
Yes — message me for a custom offer.
Will the numbers match the paper exactly?
Usually yes for OLS, IV and panel methods. For methods with random components (bootstrap, MCMC) you'll see tiny differences. Anything material is documented in the deviations report.
Will you do any additional analysis to the replication?
If no replication code is available, I will try and replicate the code to the best of my ability in accordance to what information is given in the paper. I can add analysis/robustness test under a custom offer.
