We're Tom and Jess, a musician couple from the UK. We trained together at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and now both play professionally throughout the country. We record strings for numerous albums, music videos and short films and have our own mini-studio for crisp, clear recordings. Severn Duo is a professional string-playing duo which can offer professional quality string recordings and arrangements of solo and string ensemble of any size for your projects.
Tom and Jess met whilst studying together at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Since graduating, they live and work together as professional musicians with their string ensemble, Severn Duo, and have appeared in multiple CD recordings as well as TV and game soundtracks, recording from their purpose-built studio in Lancashire, UK.

We use a pair of Rode M5 microphones through a Focusrite Saffire 6 interface and Logic 9
In what format will I receive my files?
Unless otherwise instructed, we will provide you with the high quality raw, individual stems of each string part as a .wav and, where appropriate, a rough mix for quick review.
