About this gig
I will create a women's wear sewing pattern based on your design and specifications. Designs in this gig will usually have 5 or fewer pattern pieces (inclusive of facing and lining pieces, if any). I will also grade the patterns up/down into other sizes, subject to a maximum of 6-8 inches (or 15-20 cm) and 6-8 inches (or 15-20 cm) down from your base/sample size.
The pattern will be drafted with a high level of precision (up to 1/32nd of an inch accuracy), and all seams are checked, and the pattern pieces are notched in strategic points for easy assembly.
The finished pattern set will be delivered electronically in PDF or AI files in the preferred paper size. A4/Letter paper size tilling is also available at extra cost. DXF ASTM/AAMA file format is also available.
The base size is drafted first, sent for approval/Checking/sample making, and a revision is made if necessary before I proceed to pattern grading.
This service is suitable for small clothing/fashion business owners, Indie pattern designers, and sewing enthusiasts.
You own all the rights to the pattern made.

What software do you use to draft the patterns?
I currently use PadSystem, a garment industry CAD and Adobe Illustrator.
Why don't you draft and grade the pattern at one go?
To avoid merry-go-rounds and to deliver to you a quality job, I prefer you test the base pattern and sew a sample to allow me make necessary revisions (if need be). Any issue not resolved at the sample/base size stage will escalate at the pattern grading stage.
What does a "Revision" entail?
A revision entails corrections that are related to fit only. Simple changes such as length variations can be accommodated. Style changes may attract additional charges.
