About this gig
Your book manuscript will be edited and formatted for Print and eBook publishing as detailed below:
1) Print Publishing
- Setting page size, required page and gutter margins as per Publisher's book template (e.g. Createspace, Amazon KDP, Smashwords, Lulu.com, Ingramspark etc.).
- Editing, formatting interior text using built-in Word Styles or and creating auto Table of Contents.
- Final edited Word file will be exported as print ready PDF file for delivery.
2) eBook Publishing:
- Styles will be defined and applied to chapter headings, paragraph headings, paragraphs etc. for a professional look and feel.
- Final edited MS Word file will be converted to mobi or ePub format.
- PDF eBook with bookmarks for navigation can also be delivered (if desired).
Extra Gig: Cover page for your book (additional $10)
- Making layout for cover page (front, back and spine) including bleed margins.
- Artwork given by you will be used for front and back pages. ISBN bar code will be inserted on the back cover
- Spine width will be set based on total number of pages for the book.
- Exporting final edited PSD file as single high resolution PDF for cover page printing.
- Front page is extracted as cover page for eBook file.

I am qualified as M.Sc in Physics (Electronics) from Mysore University during 1975. I am experienced in product development, production and technical documentation.

To which standard print ready PDF files delivery will meet?
Depending on publisher's specifications, print ready PDF files meet "Press Quality" (e.g Lulu.com) or "PDF/X-1a:2001" (e.g. Createspace, Amazon/KDP) standard.
Which standard you will follow for formatting my book for print publishing?
Some publishers may have their own formatting standard (e.g. Creaspace, Amazon/KDP) or your in-house style-guide if made available.
What is bleed margins settings?
If your book contains graphic images extending up to page edges, then it requires bleed margins settings. Additional 0.125 " margins will be added to top, bottom and outside. This will avoid white edges around the pages containing graphic images extending up to page edges when the book is trimmed.
Is there any standard for formatting Word documents for eBook conversion?
Generally publishing sites have e-Publishing guideline document giving step-by-step procedure for error-free conversion to eBook formats.
Whether mobi or ePub eBook files will be validated before delivery?
Yes, mobi file for Kindle will be tested and validated using Amazon Kindle Previewer 3 for proper display and interactivity. Another eBook version ePub file will be validated using Adobe Digital Editions Version 4.5 or Caibre eBook Viewer for proper display and interactivity.
Will you address uploading issues if any with the publishing websites?
Yes, I will address all uploading issues till they are resolved and your paperback & eBook versions are successfully published on their website.
