Freelance Continuity Editor, Proofreader, ARC Reader, Tech Editor
About this Gig
Continuity editing for romance, romantasy, fantasy, sci-fi, paranormal, dark romance, and erotic suspense; open-door, spicy, and explicit content welcome. Shifters, fae, vampires, aliens, monsters, demons, orcs, mafia, masked men, omegaverse, why choose, and everything in between.
What I catch:
- Character details that shift
- Timelines that don't add up
- Magic and world-building rules that break
- Dropped or contradictory plot threads
- Line-level inconsistencies that pull readers out

Your report is a separate document listing every issue by location. If you'd like my marked-up working document as well, add the Source File extra at checkout.

FAQ
Q: Do you need the whole book for continuity editing?
A: Yes. Continuity is a whole-book concern. I need the complete manuscript to track details across the entire story. The free sample is just to show my style.
Q: What file formats do you accept?
A: Word (.docx), EPUB, and PDF. Word is easiest for me to work with, but I can handle any of the three.
Q: How do you deliver the report?
A: I provide a separate document with every issue flagged, organized by chapter and scene so you can fix quickly. If you want my marked-up working document too, add the Source File extra at checkout.
Q: What counts as a revision?
A: A revision is a pass to review the fixes you've made or to address questions about my report. It's not a new manuscript or a scope change. If you need additional words covered, add the word count extra.
Q: Do you work with series authors?
A: Yes. My Premium package includes series bible notes for your current manuscript. If previous books don't have a bible, I can build retroactive notes as a custom add-on.
Q: Do you use AI?
A: I edit manually first, then use a final consistency check as a verification pass. Every judgment in your report is mine. If you prefer a manual-only workflow, please mention it before ordering—I'm happy to accommodate.
Q: Can you handle trigger warnings and content notes?
A: Yes. I can note where trigger or content warnings might be appropriate. I flag potential triggers in my report; you decide what to include in your book.
Q: What if my manuscript needs more than continuity editing?
A: Continuity editing checks internal consistency. It doesn't restructure plot or rewrite prose. If your manuscript needs deeper story work, I'll tell you honestly and recommend the right type of editing.
