Hi, I'm Shogo, an interpreter for more than 10 years!
I've worked in the U.S. Army, interpreting between the U.S. Army and the Japanese Self-Defense Force in high-speed complex combat training, as well as in the IT field, working as a product manager!
I do consecutive interpretations. It is where I listen to you and understand what you are saying completely, and then interpret that to your partner, and vice versa. Live interpretation can be speedy but can also be very inaccurate and, many times, disturbing, having too many people talking at the same time. Therefore, I do not provide that service. My goal is to become part of your team and facilitate smooth communication between you and your Japanese counterpart.
I'm a transparent agent between you and your Japanese partner. I'm there, I'm helpful, but I'm not in the way.
In order to execute my task smoothly, please contact me and provide me with as much information as possible about the meeting, you, and your Japanese counterpart!

How do you ensure the quality and accuracy of your interpretation?
I have a high level of proficiency and fluency in both languages, as well as cultural and contextual knowledge. I also prepare in advance by reviewing the topic and the materials of the video call. I always check the audio and video quality before the call and use a headset and a quiet environment.
How do you handle confidential or sensitive information?
I respect the privacy and confidentiality of my clients and the speakers. I do not record or share any information from the video call without permission. I also follow the code of ethics and the professional conduct of interpreters.
What are your rates and delivery time?
My rates depend on the length, complexity, and urgency of the video call. I charge by the hour or by the minute, depending on your preference. The delivery time is the duration of the video call plus some extra time for preparation and feedback.
How do I book your service?

What if I need to cancel or reschedule the video call?
