Will my app look and work the same after migration?
Yes. Your React screens stay the same. I only replace the Base44 backend underneath (database, login, files, functions). We test every page on a staging copy before switching your domain.
Which Base44 plan do I need?
Code export (ZIP or GitHub) needs the Builder plan or higher. If you are on a lower plan, you can upgrade for one month to export, then cancel once the new version is live.
Will I lose my data or users?
No. Every table is exported, imported and record counts are checked. Base44 does not export passwords, so users get a one-click email to set a new one, or sign in with Google or a magic link.
How long will my app be offline?
Usually just minutes. Your Base44 app keeps running during the whole migration. We only point your domain to the new version after you have tested and approved it.
Where will my app be hosted and who owns it?
You do. Code goes to your GitHub, database to your Supabase account, frontend to your Vercel or Netlify. Most small apps fit in free tiers; you only pay those providers when you grow.
Can you migrate to something other than Supabase?
Yes. Firebase, your own VPS with Docker and Postgres, or Lovable are all possible. Tell me your target and I will quote it in the free plan.
Can I keep building with AI tools after the move?
Yes. The code lives in your GitHub, so you can keep building with Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable or any developer. No lock-in.
