What type of English do you write in?
I write in United States English unless otherwise specified. I also have experience with Canadian, British, Australian, and New Zealand English.
How does copyright work on your articles? Can I name myself the author?
Once you accept the order delivery, the copyright is yours. You may do whatever you please with the article. This includes naming yourself as the author, distributing it through multiple channels, breaking the article up for social media posts, and anything you would do with an article you wrote.
Are there any subjects you do not write on?
I do not write articles on subjects restricted by U.S. law. This includes writing testimonials and reviews, which the Federal Trade Commission bans. I do not write on alcohol or tobacco products. I also do not write privacy policies or terms of service as these are legal documents.
What is your revision policy?
My revision policy covers everything from minor changes to complete rewrites if the piece does not match your vision. You have 72 hours from order delivery to request a revision using the Fiverr mechanism per the terms of service, and no revisions will be offered after an order is marked complete.
Will you use AI to write the web content?
A single US-born native English speaker manually writes content for Silver Magpie clients. AI may be used in the research or editing processes. Content written by a person offers better nuance, creativity, and understanding of emotion compared to AI. Search algorithms are also penalizing AI content.
How do I request a revision? How long will my revision take?
Fiverr asks a variation of ‘are you ready to accept the work’ after order delivery. If you are not satisfied, click no and follow the prompts Fiverr provides to make your request for revision. There is also typically a ‘request revisions’ button. Most revisions take 24-48 hours.
Can I have a discount?
The answer is no, unless you are prepared to use the Fiverr milestone feature or recurring order features for bulk orders. Many people try to say they have extra work or ongoing projects to get a discount and then never return once they have the one thing they needed.
What should I call you?
I answer to Silver, Magpie, or Silver Magpie on the Fiverr platform. Please note that calling me honey, dear, sweetheart, or any other pet names is offensive in my culture and I request you refrain from doing so.
Can you upload the content directly to my website?
No, I cannot. I will deliver the content to you in a .docx files with the text you requested. I can also deliver in .doc upon request. I do not deliver directly to websites, so you do not need to supply login information.
Can I see samples of you work?
Yes, you can. I have Fiverr live portfolio enabled on all my gigs, which stores PDFs of some recent work I have done on the platform. Simply scroll through the image section using the arrows to see the PDFs. I do not supply live links to client websites or access to previous clients.
