I worked as an editor. My first manuscript was picked from the slush pile; my novels have been successfully published; I self-published crime fiction and worked as a journalist and the film industry; I recognize a good story when I see one. I will tell you how to increase your chances of getting published.
It is tough to know what your story's strengths and weaknesses are. It would help if you had somebody who would tell it to you straight, without breaking you down. I'd love to assess your work and offer ideas and concrete examples for optimizing your story. A structural edit focuses on various elements, from plot, structure, and characterization to language: macro and micro.
Good developmental editing will keep your target audience in mind and judge your work with professional industry standards.
This is not a proofreading gig. But we will get your manuscript as close to publishing as possible.
