I edit the audio to remove any background noise and balance the volume to a consistent level throughout. For precise, commercial audio, or audio requiring a brisk read, I remove the breaths. For other audio, I leave the breaths in, for a more natural sound and pace.

I love playing characters. It's worth bearing in mind that when you want a character portrayed, the end result is hugely influenced by your input. The more you can tell me about your character, the better I can play the part.

I can vary my speaking speed between 100 and 180 words per minute while maintaining a natural sound. Of course, some scripts are an exception to this, but it's worth bearing this in mind when timing your script.
