About this Gig
Learn the fundamentals of Revit plug-in development using C# in Visual Studio. The training is delivered in 1 hour remote sessions. The topics are flexible but, as an example, can include:
- Getting started with Visual Studio
- Creating your first "hello world" Revit app
- Understanding the add-in manifest file
- Debugging
- Getting File Information
- Revit Warnings
- Finding Elements that are within Rooms
- Understanding Parameters
- Loading and inserting Families
- Creating polished Windows Forms
- Exporting data to txt, xls, xml & json
- Revit event handling (e.g. when a project is saved)
- Creating a ribbon interface
- Installation Programs
Sample source code will be provided.
