FAQ
What information or files do you need to start recording?
I’ll need your backing track (in WAV or MP3 format), the exact Key/Scale, and the BPM (tempo) of the song. It also helps immensely if you can share a quick description of the vibe you want, or even a reference song that has the type of Sarangi style you are looking for.
Do I need to provide sheet music or notation?
Not at all! I play entirely by ear and can easily improvise based on your track's mood. If you do have a specific melody you want me to play, just send over a simple guide track (played on a keyboard, violin, or even hummed/sung), and I will match it perfectly.
Can the Sarangi fit into non-traditional genres like Pop, Lo-Fi, or Electronic?
Absolutely! Fusing the traditional soul of the Sarangi into modern and Western genres is exactly what I do—especially through my work with Coke Studio Bangla. It adds an incredibly unique, emotional texture to Lo-Fi, Pop, Ambient, Cinematic scores, and even Rock tracks.
