UAT goes wrong in one of two ways. Either nobody wrote the cases, so testers improvise and miss things or the cases exist but nothing ties them back to a requirement, so sign-off becomes an argument.
I've designed and run acceptance testing on national-scale systems, through defect triage to go-live. I write the pack that prevents both.

The people running UAT are usually the business users, not QA professionals. Cases are written so someone who has never tested software before can follow them without asking what a step means.

What's the difference between UAT and QA testing?
QA checks the software works as built. UAT checks it does what the business asked for, and it's run by business users rather than testers. This gig is UAT — the acceptance layer that decides whether you go live.
What do you need from me to write the cases?
Requirements, user stories, a demo recording, or a walkthrough call — any one of those is enough. If you have none of them, order the Test Plan package first and we'll work out what the cases should cover.
What format are the test cases delivered in?
Excel by default, so your testers can record pass/fail and raise defects in the same file. I'll deliver in Word or your test management tool's import format instead if you say so before I start.
Can you run the testing for me?
No — UAT has to be run by your own business users, or the sign-off means nothing. What I can do is support the cycle while it runs: the defect triage extra covers a week of questions and defect handling.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes. Send it before you order and I'll sign it. Pre-release software is exactly the kind of thing that warrants one.
