Why do you use KumoMTA for provider-aware delivery?
KumoMTA gives me deep control through Traffic Shaping Automation, Lua policies, routing and SMTP-feedback-driven behavior. This is useful when different providers require different rate, connection, retry and backoff policies.
How does provider-specific traffic shaping work?
I map provider or MX behavior, read SMTP responses and apply controlled limits for rate, concurrency, messages per connection, retries and backoff. Policies are tuned to respect provider feedback rather than forcing traffic through.
Can you work with an existing PowerMTA or custom SMTP environment?
Yes. I can assess your current PowerMTA, MailWizz or custom SMTP environment. If the architecture limits the required provider-aware controls, I can recommend and scope a KumoMTA migration or redesign.
Do you handle feedback loops, complaints and suppression?
Yes. Where feedback is available, I can integrate complaint/FBL signals into suppression, bounce handling, monitoring and operational workflows so repeated unwanted sends are reduced and sender risk is better controlled.
Are third-party FBL, VPS, IP or software fees included?
No. Third-party VPS, IP, software, licensing and complaint/FBL subscription costs are separate. If a paid service is required, you purchase and own the account; I handle the agreed technical integration and automation.
Can you guarantee inbox placement or a specific delivery rate?
No. Inbox placement depends on reputation, recipient quality, authentication, complaints, content, engagement and provider decisions. I optimize the delivery infrastructure and sending behavior, but no engineer can guarantee inbox placement.
What information do you need before starting?
Please send your current MTA, approximate volume, target providers, recent SMTP errors or deferrals, queue symptoms, IP/domain setup and relevant monitoring details. Do not send passwords or recipient lists in the initial message.
What counts as a revision versus new scope?
A revision is a reasonable correction or tuning within the agreed scope. New providers, IP pools, nodes, migrations, integrations or major routing changes are additional scope and may require a Gig Extra or custom offer.
