I will write appeal letters for denied prior authorizations
Medical Billing and Prior Authorization Specialist
About this Gig
A denied authorization is usually fixable if the appeal answers the exact reason on the denial letter. That is what I do.
I have worked prior authorizations for US practices since 2019 and lead an authorization team today. I have personally taken denials through first and second level appeal and obtained out-of-network approvals through Single Case Agreements.
What I do on each case
- Read the denial letter and the payer's medical policy
- Tell you plainly whether the case is worth appealing
- List the documents needed: chart notes, prescription, letter of medical necessity
- Write the appeal letter for the provider's signature
- Submit by portal or fax and track it to a decision
Also available
Single Case Agreement requests for out-of-network providers.
Where I am strongest
Pain management, orthopedics, interventional radiology, viscosupplement and Zilretta injections, and knee braces, on commercial and Medicaid plans.
I cannot promise an overturn, because the payer decides. I can promise an appeal that addresses the stated denial reason with the right evidence.
Send me the denial reason before ordering and I will tell you if I can help.

FAQ
Do you guarantee the denial will be overturned?
No. The payer decides. I review the denial first and tell you honestly if an appeal is unlikely to work before you spend money on it.
What do you need from me?
The denial letter, the original request, and access to the chart notes. I will list anything else that is missing after my review.
Who signs the appeal letter?
The treating provider. I write it and prepare the packet, and your provider reviews and signs.
How do you handle patient information?
I work through the EMR and payer portal access you give me, and I keep no patient data outside your systems. I will sign an NDA or BAA before starting if you need one.
Do you handle second level appeals?
Yes. I have taken denials through first and second level appeal, and I request Single Case Agreements for out-of-network providers.
What hours do you work?
US Eastern business hours, Monday to Friday.
