I will physically record your stereo mix onto cassette tape using an AKAI HX-26W, then play it back and capture the result digitally.
This is not a tape emulation plugin: your music actually passes through a real analog cassette recording and playback process.
The result can add natural tape saturation, compression, softened transients and the distinctive texture and imperfections of the cassette medium.

Is this a complete mastering service?
This service focuses on real analog cassette tape processing and coloration. It is not a traditional full mastering service with extensive EQ, dynamics and loudness processing.
What type of file should I send?
Please send a high-quality stereo WAV file. Avoid heavily clipped or excessively limited files whenever possible.
What will the cassette process do to my mix?
The result depends on the source material and recording level, but cassette tape can add saturation, gentle compression, softened transients and characteristic analog texture.
Do you use real analog hardware?
Yes. Your music is physically recorded onto cassette tape using an AKAI HX-26W tape deck, played back and captured again in digital format. No tape-emulation plugin is used for the cassette stage.
Can you process stems or multitrack sessions?
This Gig is intended for finished stereo mixes. It does not include multitrack mixing or individual stem processing. Please contact me before ordering if you have a different requirement.
