About this gig
I will handwrite anything in authentic medieval calligraphy for you and provide a digital scan.
Many script options are available, including my specialty textura quadrata most known for appearing in medieval manuscripts, a more legible modernized textura quadrata, decorative textura elongata, modern gothic, legible rotunda, and elegant medieval French bâtarde secretary. I have a wide selection of colored inks, as well as standard black. I use high-quality fountain pen paper for all my work.
NO HARD COPY DELIVERED - all deliveries are sent as a scan. Mailing the hard copy is not a service I provide.
Word counts given are approximate. Price is charged based on the pages used. A Gig extra may be required if all of the writing does not all fit on a page.
Please contact me before ordering if your text exceeds 3 pages in length. To manage my workload I may not always accept more than one large commission at a time.
CENTERED text takes me significantly more time to draft - orders with a significant amount of centered text will cost an extra of $10. This may apply for other similar asks.

Hello! I have been a passionate self-taught calligrapher and amateur expert of its history since January 2021.
I have experience with many historical and modern scripts, but I especially love variations of textura. After achieving proficiency in several scripts, I began to expand my skillset to illumination and cadels.
I am excited to provide my knowledge and art form to a world where historically accurate calligraphy is difficult to find!

FAQ
Will you do calligraphy in languages other than English?
I will do calligraphy in most languages that use the Latin alphabet. However, I cannot accept all requests due to some languages using diacritics that the scripts I have learned do not include.
How long have you been doing calligraphy?
I started in January of 2021. I've had plenty of practice since then!
Can I choose spacing between letters, space between paragraphs, etc.?
Yes! Let me know when placing an order if you want a specific spacing on the text, letters, or indentation for your calligraphy. If this is not specified I will use my best judgment to provide something aesthetically pleasing for your commission.
Do you ship the hard copy?
No - at the moment I have chosen not to provide a hard copy for my calligraphy. Provided with every order is a high-resolution scan of the writing, and an additional photo of the writing if the ink selected is one that has shimmer (glitter) or sheen (metallic).
What colors of ink do you have available?
The colors I have available vary depending on when you place your order and what nib size I will be using. The best way to find out would be to send me a message so I can provide a few options, or make suggestions based on what you're looking for.
Have you taken a class on calligraphy?
No, I have not taken any classes on calligraphy, but it's hard to say I'm self-taught! I am very thankful for my hobby groups who help me learn and the creators of the resources that make calligraphy learnable for so many people like myself.
Do you do graphic design/digitally edit the calligraphy you sell?
No, for the foreseeable future, I will not be offering digital editing of the calligraphy I produce by default or as an extra. Many of my buyers choose to modify the final product in this way, but it is not a service I plan to provide myself.
Do you require me to credit you?
While I do not require any of my buyers to credit me for the calligraphy they purchase from me, I always appreciate recognition! My only ask on this subject is that you do not claim my work as your own work under any circumstances.
