I will determine the type of object and text and, if wished for, provide a professional transliteration and translation of your cuneiform text. I possess reading skills in Archaic/Proto-cuneiform, Sumerian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Elamite, Hittite and Ugaritic. Cuneiform texts that I would translate could be cylinder seal inscriptions, brick inscriptions, and clay tablets dating from between 3200 and 100 BCE.
I have studied for over 10 years at a German university and am currently completing my doctorate in the History of Knowledge in the Ancient Near East, which makes me one of the few hundred experts in this field worldwide.
Cuneiform artefacts fall under the UNESCO 1970 Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property. This means that you must provide clear proof of origin for cuneiform objects that you want to have translated.
