Note: I do NOT use AI in any of my services, so you can be rest assured that your work is safe with me. All my feedback comes from my real, human experience in the writing & publishing industry.
I'm a writer, editor & story coach with an MFA in Creative Writing and 5+ years of experience.
As your developmental editor, I'll give you THREE layers of feedback that work together: in-line, chapter-by-chapter, and big-picture, so you know exactly where your story flows, slows, or slips and how to fix it.
Here's what you get:
In-line Comments: Real-time editor insights- what's working, what's confusing, and how to sharpen each scene.
Editorial Report (10-15 pages): A big-picture critique covering structure, theme, pacing, character arcs, and more.
Chapter-wise Analysis (20-25 pages): Editorial notes after every chapter with reactions and solutions, so you know exactly what to revise.

Why should I hire you as my developmental editor? What sets you apart?
Most editors give you inline comments and an editorial report. I take it further with my chapter-by-chapter analysis, so you get specific insight into how every part of your novel is working and how exactly you can fix the underwhelming aspects with tough love, practical suggestions.
Why should I contact you first even if I don't have any questions?
I suggest you contact me first because I want both of us to be on the same page while we work together to weave your novel or story to perfection. This would also prevent any disappointments for either of us in future. Also, this ensures I have enough space in my pipeline for your project.
Do you take up longer novels that are over 100,000 words?
Yes, of course! Please contact me for a custom quote and to check my availability.
Can I get a discount?
You are eligible for a discount based on two conditions: either you've already availed my beta reading service and/or you want to book me for developmental + line/copy edit package. Please contact me for a custom offer.
How is your developmental editing gig different from your beta reading gig?
In beta reading, I give you my first impression, WHY I feel that way and specific feedback on WHAT could be improved. In developmental editing, I give you all of that in addition to guiding you on HOW to solve those issues. Please contact me to discuss the best option for you.
Do you take partial submissions?
Developmental editing is supposed to be done on a complete manuscript because it looks at the novel (or the story) as a whole from a big-picture perspective. If you need feedback on a specific partial draft, my beta reading gig is a better fit. Please contact me for a custom offer.
What genres do you accept? Do you take non fiction?
I accept almost all fiction works; be it mainstream genres like fantasy, thriller, romance or selective pieces under literary fiction. I do not work with non-fiction.
Do I need to give you prior trigger warnings for anything?
If your book has gory violence or graphic sexual assault scenes, then I would like a trigger warning please.
