FAQ
What's the difference between copy editing and line editing?
Both- line & copy edits- focus on improving your language. However, a line edit specifically focuses on your language style (how YOU tell the story) where as a copy edit focuses on grammar & technical accuracies of syntax, punctuation etc. (how grammatically correct your story is).
Do I require both line and copy edits?
Straight answer- yes! Because they tackle different aspects of your writing. However, sometimes (in case you have a strong hold over language) they can be blended into one round of edit. Not sure what your writing requires? Contact me & I will be more than happy to help you pick the right option.
What files will I recieve upon delivery?
In each of the packages, you will receive- One MS word doc in track changes format, all changes recorded for you to review. One MS word doc with all changes accepted for you to enjoy your flawless work.
Do you use any software for editing?
I trust my God-made beautiful eyes for capturing all punctuation demons and driving away typo vampires. Simply put, no, I don’t use any software for editing because I understand that you are paying me for my expertise and no pre-programmed robot can beat that.
Do you accept non-fiction as well?
This gig is specifically for fiction novels. But I do work with some selective non-fiction as well. Please contact me first to find out whether or not your topic is suitable for me and if so, I'll give you a custom quote.
