I am looking forward to reading your middle grade novel! I'm a mother of four, a former teacher of fifteen years of elementary, middle, and high school, and a voracious reader. I particularly love the magical, wonderful middle-grade stage when children can immerse themselves in longer, richer, and more diverse novels.
As a beta reader, I will provide in-line comments as I read your manuscript. I will tell you what my impressions are regarding:
- Your opening scene (does it grab me?)
- Your characters
- Pacing
- Tension
- Any plot holes I stumble into
I will also compile a reader report discussing readability and delving into the plot, characters, world building, dialog, flow/pacing, and strengths/weaknesses.
If you prefer a heftier reader report and no in-line comments, please specify.
I handle your manuscript with care and consideration. I do not use AI. And I do not sugar coat--I know you come to me because you want a real reader's thoughts.
