About this gig
Lovable Cloud to Supabase migration. Base44, Replit and Bolt apps moved to a backend you actually own.
Lovable Cloud is rented. Pause the account and your database, your users, your storage and your edge functions sit behind a login you no longer control. I've pulled data out of one of those already.
Before I migrate anything I read the backend, and it's the same four leaks every time. RLS left off, so any logged in user can read every row in the table. A Stripe webhook with no idempotency check, charging cards twice. The service role key sitting in client side code. AI gateway calls with no rate limit burning credits every month. Message me your project link and I'll tell you which ones you have before you order anything.
The migration itself: schema, RLS policies, auth users, storage buckets, edge functions and all data into a Supabase project in your name. AI gateway swapped for your own OpenAI or Anthropic key. Email off Lovable and onto Resend. App repointed, tested, handed back working.
Postgres, Supabase, AWS, Vercel, Netlify, Railway. Django or Next.js if you want off vibe coding entirely.
Export only if that's all you need. Full migration if you want it done.

FAQ
What if my project can't be migrated cleanly?
I'll tell you inside the first 30 minutes, before any work starts, and you keep the export and the findings. I've only hit one project that wasn't worth moving, and that was a rewrite disguised as a migration. You'd get told that on day one, not day six.
Will my app go down while you migrate it?
No. I build the new Supabase project alongside the live one, move schema, data and functions into it, test it, then repoint the app in one change. If anything looks wrong I point it back in under a minute. Your users see nothing.
Do my users have to reset their passwords after the move?
No. Supabase stores password hashes in auth.users, and those move with the rest of the data. Your users log in the next morning with the same password and never know anything happened. Most sellers rebuild the auth table and force a reset. Don't accept that.
Do I have to give you my Lovable password?
No. I work from your Supabase project and your repo. Read access is enough to quote and audit. For the migration I need write access on the new project only, and you can revoke it the day I hand back.
What's the difference between the $50 export and the full migration?
The export gives you a clean SQL dump of your schema, policies and data, plus the plan for moving it. Nothing gets connected. The full migration restores all of it into a project you own, moves auth, storage and edge functions, and repoints the app so it runs on the new backend.
My Lovable account is already paused. Can you still get my data out?
Depends on one thing: whether you still have access to the Supabase project behind it. If you do, yes, and I've done exactly that recovery. If the project is locked too, send me a screenshot of what you can still see and I'll tell you straight whether it's recoverable.
My app uses Lovable AI. Does that survive the move?
Yes, and this is the part that actually saves you money. Lovable AI Gateway calls get swapped for direct OpenAI or Anthropic calls on your own key, so you pay the provider instead of paying a markup on credits. Same models, same responses.
Can you move me to AWS instead of Supabase?
Yes. RDS Postgres, S3 for storage, Lambda or containers for the functions. That's the Premium package. Worth it if you have a compliance requirement or you're already on AWS. If neither is true, your own Supabase project is the better call and I'll say so.
Do you fix the security holes you find?
The findings come with the delivery either way. Fixing them is separate work and I quote it after you've seen the list, so you're not paying for problems you didn't know you had. Most are small. RLS policies and a webhook idempotency check are usually an afternoon.
Can you take over the app after the migration?
Yes. Ongoing work goes on a monthly arrangement rather than repeat orders. Say so up front and I'll build the migration to be handed to a team rather than just moved.
