Where do you record?
I record in my professional home studio (acoustically treated, Audient interface, Sennheiser MKH-416, Neumann KM-184, Shure SM7B, etc.) I've spent many years and many thousands of dollars to achieve a professional quality sound. I'm located in the Houston, Texas area (Central Time Zone).
What is the "Commercial Rights" gig extra?
If you are in any way promoting a product, service, performance, etc. through unpaid channels (such as a video posted to your web site, a corporate training module, or an unpaid video posted on social media) you will need Commercial Rights gig extra. Pick 1 year or unlimited based on needs.
What is the "Full Broadcast Rights" gig extra
If you will be broadcasting or using paid channels you will need to add this gig extra. This includes TV, radio or online paid programming or advertising. Pick between the 1-year option or unlimited option based on your needs and budget.
Do I need to add both Commercial Rights and Broadcast Rights gig extras?
No, you only need to add one or the other. Commercial Rights are included as part of Broadcast Rights, but not vice-versa. For that reason, many of my clients purchase Full Broadcast Rights so they are covered no matter how they may end up using my voice over in the future.
Do you do character voices?
Yes, I do. That's one of my favorite things to do. I do silly cartoon characters, creepy/scary voices, Santa Claus, schmaltzy old-time radio announcer voices, and even some impressions/celebrity impersonations. Feel free to message me for a sample.
Can you write my script for me?
Yes. I have written numerous scripts for very happy clients' projects. Just message me and we can discuss your needs.
Can you produce an entire ad for me from start to finish?
Yes. I can create an entire radio spot, streaming ad for you--or even TV/YouTube ad if you give me the footage--including multiple voices, music, effects. Message me to discuss your project.
Can you provide audio productions with multiple voices?
Yes. As a sound designer, I work with a number of very talented theatre, TV and voice actors, and can put together a cast of characters for your production if my voice isn't right for one or all the parts. Just message me and we can discuss your needs! Requires additional delivery time.
How do you get that retro vintage announcer sound?
A big part of it is capturing the right feel and style in the performance. Mic choice and technique play into it, too. l then use a variety of processing techniques (EQ, compression, saturation, etc.) to impart vintage character to the recording, using the material and your direction as my guide.
