How should I format my files?
Please provide WAV or AIFF files, 24bit or 32bit, and at the same sample rate your project was recorded at. Also be sure to export stems all starting from the beginning of the session (0:00) so as to ensure that they all remain lined and synced after importing them into my DAW.
What are Stems?
Stems refer to the individual files/elements that make up the entire song/production (i.e kick, snare, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, lead vocal, background vocals, etc.)
I'm not sure where to start with exporting my stems, can you assist me?
Certainly, if you're not sure how to export your stems to send to me just message me with the name of the DAW/Recording Software you used to record your vocals and I'll send you a link to a tutorial that's particular to your DAW demonstrating exactly how to prepare and export your stems.
What if I just have an mp3 of a beat that I recorded my vocals to, can you still mix and master my song to radio-ready standard?
Yes! Beats on YouTube or purchased beats are usually already mixed and mastered so you'd just need to provide me with the MP3 or WAV file of the beat and the WAV stems with your vocals for me to mix and master them to sit perfectly together.
