Valuing start-ups/ unlisted entities is a mix of arts, science & experience!

Valuation exercise is required by start-ups on many occasions, be it for investor funding, partner's share or exit, issuing ESOPs, strategic alliances, bank financing (for convertibles etc.)

This Gig includes:

• Premium gig include high level projections (not detailed) and basis for valuation
• DCF method is most common & popular, however the real crux lies in appropriate assumptions and their justifications
• For Pre-Revenue start-ups (a different approach)
• Valuing start-ups with multiples method (with Revenue multiple, EBITDA, value of based on number of users etc.) and then comparing the value with arrived DCF value
• Also, using multiples applied in recently concluded transactions in similar sector/ space
• Other methods such VC method, Berkus, Scorecard, First Chicago

Valuation Output is shared by way of an Excel Sheet;
